You know how it is when you love someone?

And the hard part, the bad part, the Jerry Springer show part is that you never stop loving someone. There's always a piece of them in your heart.

but I have yet to decide if it could be a good thing too.

I think it is, because what you really love in people after a long time is what they gave you and what they changed in you... and these things are good... and at least it's good to remember them with love...

yeah. and still it hurts. and that's what makes it bad. 'cause having to remember someone means he/she is not with you anymore and (if it's not because this person passed away) there must be a reason why this once-special-one is not with you anymore... ah the why's and how's...

so I admit - Neil sum's it up better than I could ever describe it in a thousand words. and that's most likely what makes the quote that powerful.

yes but I think there is a positive way to say goodbye and miss someone... there are people I miss and love but when I think about them it makes me smile even though they are gone, it doesn't amke me feel sad... more a good memory...

(so cool we live in the same city and write in english XD)

yes the bad things somehow grow distant, the pain it might have caused you fades away.. but somehow good things stay clear and sometimes they itch - because we miss them? but you're most likely right. I guess remembering depends on the mood you're in. sometimes remembering good times makes me happy sometimes it brings only melancholic thoughts.

(LOL I know it's weird... sometimes at university I think maybe oneday we run into each other and don't recoginze each other.. :) )

I guess sometimes I have that too... that I get melancholic... but most of the times I have this "things came like they should have come and I have to be ok with it and see the beautiful things they caused and remember the good things I had"-oppinion.

haha well I never leave biological faculty so if you're no biology major we probably won't :/

ah where I found it. :) my beloved tori amos did once a concept album ("Strange Little Girls")where she coverd songs that descirbe women of men's point of view and by singing them as a woman she changed their meaning... and for each of these songs there are pictures of different girls/women (tori in different outfits) and Neil Gaiman who is a dear friend of Tori wrote some short "descriptions" or scenes of their life for each of those women. you can find all of them here: hereinmyhead.com (http://www.hereinmyhead.com/collect/strange/slg2.html)
(scroll down to the pic)

[besides: I wrote a real long answer to your reply on my post before this one - go there read it! ;)]
