alice_montrose's lj and thought it'd be great fun to try it:
Make a list of all the characters in your icons. (Although you may have more than one icon of a single character, they only go on the list once.) Alphabetize it. Take the first two people on the list; that's your first pairing. Second two people; second pairing. etc.
so what do I have here: a mermaid (from the latest peter pan movie), Snape (from harry potter - I know you'd never have guessed THAT...), Psyche (by j.w.waterhouse but originally of course from the greek mythology), SIMON (from the firefly-series/serenity-movie), River (firefly-series/serenity-movie), Misato (from "neon genesis evangelion"), Tarabas (from "fantaghiro"), Death (personified from joscha sauer's comic books "nichtlustig"), Inara (again firefly-series/serenity-movie), "Saffron" (the bitch from firefly-series/serenity-movie) (I ignored the cheshirecat from alice in wonderland, and the plastic dinosaur from firefly) .... which leads us to the following pairings:
- Death & Inara (firefly/serenity)
ok. so Inara being a "companion" Death could come up with the idea to "ask for her services", he surely will be able to afford them... and well if he's pretty behind that deep hood of his and shows some manners and some courtly behaviour, she might be inclined to.... well just think about the "Shadow Lover Song" in the Last Herald Mage Trilogy by Mercedes Lackey... OH and MIND YOU... Inara's being a COMPANION has an altogether DIFFERENT meaning than those companions in M.Lackeys books. my my THIS gets confusing... anyone who gets what I'm saying...?
- Mermaid and Misato
uh. ah. um.... well. you know... ... ... no. just. no. this would mean the 3rd 4th and 5th impact - all at once.
- Psyche and River
yeah I liked that. Psyche the woman more beautiful than Aphrodite and River-no power in the verse can stop me-Tam...
- Saffron and Simon
no I don't want them to get together, never ever. it wouldn't work so there's no need to worry-.
- Snape and Tarabas
*squee* two dark wizards, you never can be sure which side they're on. but OMG! what a melancholic and sardonic, sadistic pair they would be! they would never be happy, but hot. with the Tarabas in the beginning of the series it could work, but the Tarabas of the later movies - no. hmmm. have to think about this. maybe a black-fuzzy plot-bunny will pop out of the Cave of the Golden Rose... ooh no...
